Who We Are
Membership is open to both individuals and members of the business community. The Chamber serves to assist in the economic development and growth of the African American business community as well as provide financial planning tools and information for economic empowerment to both the business owner and the individual.
We do this by producing workshops, seminars, mixers and distributing pertinent information to our members. The Chamber is here to provide information to the self employed and/or individual in making smarter financial, investment, employment and retirement decisions.
The Georgia African American Chamber of Commerce provides a window of visibility, understanding and communication between the African American community and the larger community in the State of Georgia. Opening this window allows the links between needs, services and products to take place between communities.
We are committed to using both traditional and innovative strategies to empower our community to overcome historical business and financial obstacles that currently hamper our growth.
The Chamber is also working to establish and insure a lively on-going community connection. Our goals are being achieved through the collective involvement of our staff and members who connect African-Americans and minority owned businesses, vendors and contractors, with the lucrative business market. Our membership represents all facets of our community.
Our membership roster includes representatives from those working in the corporate world, Import/Export firms, entrepreneurs, international insurance brokers, traffic managers, Internet specialists, government officials, educators, attorneys, international logistics coordinators, accounting firms, entertainment, and proprietors of small business.
